i did it. it was 2:1...abel and mom against me. i gave in, they won and my baby girl got her ears pierced.
it was so traumatic...for me.
i started crying as i handed her over to abel. i felt terrible handing her over, volunteering my baby girl to some stranger so that she could stab her little ears.
yea, i know, it all sounds pretty dramatic but that's truly how i felt. i just wasn't cool with the idea but abel and mom kept pushing the issue and i gave in.
her hair is still pretty funny around here. it's all over the place. when she wakes up is the cutest thing. she has bags under eyes from sleeping so much and the crazy "bed-head" hair style.
and i think we were too quick to judge on the bananas. she LOVES them now. apparantly, she LOVES all kinds of fruits and veggies! but her absolute favorite are the apples and sweet potatoe. awww, she's a food connoisseur just like her mama!
and, on a side note, my OB has given me the a-ok to get pregnant again. YES, i do want to try again. at least for one more. maybe we'll get twins this next time around!! YES, i would love twins. abel, on the other hand is still a little scared but he's warming up to the idea. well, actually he's quickly learning that i'm not backing away from the idea so he's learning to get used to the idea that WE WILL TRY TO HAVE ANOTHER CHILD. BUT, not so soon. though i have the go-ahead, we're going to wait until Naima is a year old. so, in april we'll be trying again and getting back on the fertility treatment. dear God, please don't let it take too long and PLEASE, PLEASE, no more heartache!
