mommy's birthday

today is my birthday. i'm 31 today and dare i say it, it's a happy one.
i had completely forgotten it was my birthday until a coworker mentioned it to me yesterday. it has been all about Mia and Naima that i had totally forgotten.
it has been a nice day. to be able to wake up and see my baby girl smile right back at me is gift enough for my birthday. i need nothing else to make my heart smile. and i know Mia is smiling in heaven too...
so, i'm 31 today. i don't feel like a 30yr old but then again what does a 30yr old feel like? actually, if you minus the back pain from 2 epidurals i feel more like a teenager! my soul feels a lot older though. i think the kind of pain we've lived through ages the soul beyond it's normal years. i do hope the joy and happiness that Naima is bringing to our home slows down that rapid aging and helps us live life like a kid again.
so, a 3 day weekend for us and i plan to celebrate my birthday with the loves of my life...thank you, God.
