the vacuum that sucked up 300 of my hard-earned dollars!

we just bought a $300 vacuum...yea, i know, it hurts me too.
i love having carpet. i love having my dog inside as she has been my cuddly bear through all my lows. and i know i'm going to love to see Naima crawling all over the house.
so, you see where i'm going with this?
i'm not going hard wood floor or cold tile all through-out the house. and since i can't possibly send Akasha to suffer outside we have to keep this carpet as clean as can be. i'm not sure if the $300 Hoover Wind-tunnle II will be the answer to our keep-pet-hair-out-of-baby's-mouth problem but according to my mom "you get what you pay for...the pricey the buy, the better the job it does". hmmm, i wonder if thats the way it works in the world of prostitution? and now i'm wondering how the hell i went to from vacuums to prostitution?!?
can i just say how much i love craigslist.com. it's like a garage sale online and i'm loving it! so far we've gotten all baby stuff like a swing, an activity mat, a swing/slide set all new or slightly used for practically PENNIES!! i'm so loving getting good deals but abel now worries every time i check my craigslist email...he trembles when i turn to him and say "WE NEED IT!"
i've been jonesin' for a new digital camera. unfortunately, i want a really GOOD digital camera....one that an ameteur photographer with a really cute newborn can take nice photos of said really cute newborn. i can insert mom's mantra on buying here..."you get what you pay for...the pricey the buy, the better the job it does". another unfortunate for me is that abel, our resident really tight penny-pincher, won't let me spend $500 on the Canon Digital Rebel XT Digital Camera i have been drooling over. even more so now that we've just spent $300 on a damn vacuum...damn, that hurts even more so now!
