Naima has taught us so many things since her arrival...
life CAN be sweet again after so much pain...
you CAN love another person you've only just met so intensly and unconditionaly...
checking the color and consistency of poop IS very important...
one CAN eat every 2-3hours as if they've never eaten before...
getting pee'd on IS hilarious...
you CAN get hypnotized into staring at someone else sleep for hours...
daddy's gay man inside comes out when buying outfits for the baby...
mommy's butch woman inside comes out when something might harm the baby...
seeing tears in the baby's eyes brings tears to mine...
seeing smiles and hearing giggles from baby brings utter joy to mommy and daddy...
squirting booby milk into baby's mouth is funny to mommy and daddy but not so much to baby...
and although Naima is already weighing more than 9lbs and wakes up every 3hrs to feed at night, my arms don't ache when i carry for hours at a time and i'm not having very many sleepless nights...the sleepless nights and aching arms were when i didn't have my baby in my arms...
