mother's day gifts

mother's day was nice. it was simple and nice. i wish it could have been perfect that i know will never come true.
holding Naima in my arms and knowing she is ok really brought some much needed comfort and peace. i cried through the entire church service. they were tears of sadness, tears of longing but also tears of joy and happiness.
when i see Naima i sometimes see Mia. they look so much alike. Mia had some curly hair and Naima's hair is as very straight but other than that they look so much alike to me and everyone else. and as the days go by and i notice some changes in Naima i can't help but to wonder if this is what Mia would've look liked. but even though they look so much alike they are still two different people...two different children. someone once said maybe we got a little bit of Mia back with Naima looking so much like her big sister. no, Niama just looks like her big sister but she isn't her. we will always have a missing person in our family picture and that baby can never be replaced...
so, abel asked what i wanted for mother's day. i said i had gotten my gift with Naima nothing more was necessary. so what does he go out and do...he gets me a Nissan Murano and a charm with Naima's name engraved to add to my bracelet with Mia's charm. geez, i love this man. no, not because of the materialistic things he does for me but because of his intentions behind the gifts. i know if he could he would give me the ultimate gift...all of my children at my side...but because he can't do that he tries to do everything and anything in his reach to make me happy or at least bring a smile to my face. he said he couldn't give me a child the way i gave him but he could give me the car i've been wanting. and as cheap and tight as he is with our finances that's like giving birth for him...HA! i love this man!
