i've always known abel to be good with kids. his nieces and nephews adore him more than anything...he's the cool uncle. MY nieces and nephews love him more than they do me. and all of our friend's kids love to play with him and adore him to pieces. i always knew abel would be a wonderful father.

abel on the other hand worried. he would tell me he was scared he wouldn't know how to be a good dad for Naima when she got here. he wasn't raised by the most loving and affectionate parents and he was scared he would be just like them. his parents care and love him they just don't show it much. they are the type to show little to no emotions if possible. as opposed to my parents that show every and all emotions. i'm a 30yr old married women with two children and my father still calls me his little princess and squeezes my cheeks and gives me thousands of kisses every time i see him. abel has always been in amazement of how my father can show much affection towards me and how he can turn to a bumbling fool when he sees me. so, he worried he wouldn't know how to be the loving father Naima deserves.
his worries were for nothing.
abel is so in love with his baby girl and shows it in every way possible and i find myself falling in love with him so much more now.
every morning he wakes up early enough to give her a bottle. the whole time i can hear him telling her he loves her and that he's going to make the day go by fast to hurry back to her. throughout the day he calls me and asks me about her and asks me to send her pictures and videos of her through the phone. when he gets home after giving mommy a kiss he steals her away from me and kisses her to the point of frustrating her. he's amazing with her. he'll change her and feed her and bathe her and is just curious to learn how to care for her. he'll sit her next to him on the couch and won't let her out of his sight.

it's so wonderful to see him with her. he's exactly the man i wanted to be the father of my children. i always knew he would be a good father but now i've learned he's the perfect father for my children.
