another week of two NSTs and BPP u/s and they were both great this week.
Naima keeps passing all her tests with flying colors. by now i have lost count how many u/s i've had and yet every time i get to see Naima on the screen i tear up and fall deeper in love with my baby. i can't wait to finally hold my precious miracle in my arms...
Doc checked my cervix today and will continue to do so every week from now on. good news = cervix still tightly closed. but apparantly Naima is still "very high up." and according to Doc if she stays like that then a c-section will definitely be called for. he throws that "c-section" around every chance he gets that i'm already starting to believe that i will have a c-section! at this point, i'll do whatever it takes to get my baby here and in my arms safe and sound.
on the GD front, my sugars have been pretty good. i've had to get on 5mg of some med to control my fasting sugars. it seems to work but every once in a while i crave the carbs. though i've promised myself to make this eating habit a life change, i still get crazy dreams of eating an entire pizza all by myself the minute Naima is born! i can't help it i guess. it's hard to quit cold-turkey! the minute they said i had GD i freaked and swore off all pizza-burgers-fries-milkshake-goodies and i've been eating those all my life. so suddenly quitting, cold-turkey, can be really difficult at times.
BUT, everything has been ok with the sugars. Naima seems to be doing well and i don't have to be stabbing myself in the stomach with the incilin...always a good thing to remember when i'm dreaming of fries.
three weeks left now...OMG!...THREE WEEKS LEFT!!!!! Doc promised to induce/c-section at 38wks and that's only THREE WEEKS AWAY! i can't wait...i'm nervous, scared, excited, happy, anxious and everything else that comes with waiting for a long awaited for BABY!
