23wks, 4dys
6:51 p.m. on January 11, 2006
another quick, short, but good OB appnt.
Dr. Ego's comments and answers:
"we're at 23wks and doing great! that's really good."
"your tummy skin is a little dry. you should use some moisturizing cream. but you don't have any stretch marks and that's good."
"seems like baby is a little active moving all over the place."
"after your next appnt we'll do another sugar test and your long awaited for u/s."
"you can start bringing a list of pediatricians so i can recommend some."
"no, i won't start checking your cervix until a couple of weeks later. i'll start at 30wks if it'll help you relax."
my comments:
"yea, i can't believe we're past the half way mark but that still doesn't mean i don't freak out for everything!"
"hmmm, now i have an excuse to go shopping at bath-and-bodyworks for some cream! and NO STRETCH MARKS sounds good to me!"
"yes, baby is like a little gusanito in there and i LOVE it!"
"are you sure want to wait that long to get the u/s? we can always go next week, ya' know." (no luck with that changing his mind there)
"pediatricians?!? already? oh, geez, doc, don't jinx things please. but since you brought it up, do you know of any that work well with neurotic paranoid mothers?"
"well then, doc, you leave me no choice but to make hubby here take a crash course in checking cervix lengths on Google University." (all i got was a big laugh with that one...from the doc AND abel)
and now we wait for another month to go by smoothly...with no worries...to get to our next OB appnt and our BIG DEFINITIVE u/s. dear, God, let all go just fine!
